Steve A. Gewartowski, 83, of Mt. Prospect. Beloved husband of Marlene Gewartowski (nee Dieball). Loving father of Susan (James) O’Brien. Kathryn (David) Althoff. Steve (Heidi, nee Meyer) Gewartowski. Cherished grandfather of Conor (Colleen) O’Brien, Caitlin and Kevin O’Brien, Stephanie and Benjamin Althoff, and Eric Gewartowski. Dear brother of Richard Gewartowski and Rita (the late Gibby) Waterstradt. Fond uncle. Preceded in death by his parents Steve and Emily Gewartowski and brother Edmund Gewartowski.
Steve was an employee at Universal Oil Products (UOP) for 60 years. He was the inventor of several patents for the oil refinery industry.
